Congratulations Katie

I want to give a quick shout out to my little sister Katie and her husband Alex who were sealed for time and all eternity yesterday--Congratulations you 2 love birds!!!!

I wanted to do a post dedicated to my little sister yesterday, in honor of her sealing, but unfortunately have been under the weather and unable to, I would this morning but we are running late for church, so stay posted because as soon as I can I will be posting it, but unfortunately have to run.

Love you Katie and Alex and sorry I couldn't be there for your special day.

would a rose be a rose by any other name? So why'd we pick our name?

I thought I would share a little some thing about the name "Lewis 4 Higher." It started out a couple years ago when I started renting John out to women as a handy man, and I originally called it "Rent a Man," but that didn't fly with too many people, so I changed it to "Rent my Man," still, not a good name, so I changed it to "Husband for Hire" which of course got shortened to "Hubby for Hire."

Needless to say i was getting some pretty out there e-mails when I posted those above listed names on craigslist.com, so I finally decided I needed to get John's input, and he threw out a few more of my ideas, until I said "Lewis 4 hire," since, after all, I would join him and help out when I could, but he still didn't like the "Hire" part, sounded to much like an ad for a hitman, so he changed it to "Lewis 4 Higher" because we do offer a "Higher" quality of service, the name did it's job and he had regular work, and actually did really well when after he lost his job at the lawnmower shop the work was so steady that we not only were able to pay our bills but we were able to get caught up with the bills we were behind on, since he made more as a handy man then he did as a mechanic at a shop.

Anyhow, the name, "Lewis 4 Higher" is not just a name to us, it is a family motto as we not only strive to provide a "higher" quality of work but we also strive for a "Higher" understanding of things (spritual, as well as others), and we are always striving to be a "higher" quality of ourselfs and a "Higher" quality of life, so when I was getting ready to name this post I thought about other names and included John in the thinking as well, but we finally agreed that "Lewis 4 Higher" was just the way to go, and that is how this rose got it name
